Play to Win!
Life is a game. You should have fun playing it and you should experience winning.
Play to win.
Take responsibility for yourself and your successes and failures. Believe in
yourself and your ability to succeed. Successful people take responsibility
for their successes and failures, while unsuccessful people tend to play the
victim and make excuses for their failures. Life is something that happens
to them, not something they make happen, and it's a bumpy ride.
Our beliefs about ourselves influence who
we are, what we do, and the results we achieve. Sometimes,
these beliefs are so quick and reflexive that they're automatic
and out of our awareness, but they still shape our behavior.
If we expect to fail, we will not do our best and may even
cause our own defeat. We may even quit in order to avoid
the shame of failure. If you think this way, you have lost
before you begin.
You often hear people in the gym say “I
can’t do this weight” or “I can’t
do that exercise.” But when they actually try it,
more often than not, they can. And if they can’t,
so what? Failure is just a milestone on the road to success.
